(Thread start) Post Length: 2 full Paragraphs Min. Rating: PG 13 (for now?) Participants: Isabelle Seo & Erebos Season: Summer Start Time: 12 AM
The clock had just quieted down from it's twelfth chime. It was mid day for the Vampire kind. Erebos glanced at the clock from the once dusty chair he had roughly beaten until it did not discolor his burgundy and black attire. He had been here since four in the afternoon. The curtains had, as always been drawn on all the windows. In truth he hadn't actually seen a window in the house, he didn't know if they were actually glass or if there were just closed curtains nailed to the walls in strategic places. He had been reading since well before the sun had gone down since he was stuck in the clan's main headquarters for the day.
He decided to brush up on modern weaponry in the meantime. He had seen a gun, and had felt the pinch of a bullet more often than he wanted to admit, but had never fired one. He tended to stick with his Gladius. It was the same Weapon he had taken into battle while he was still alive. It was quite a bit thinner than it had been, and not as wide either for all the times he had to sharpen it, but it was still serviceable. Until the day it would betray him by breaking when he needed it most. The day was coming, and he really needed to read up on what he could carry instead of his trusty pig sticker.
He flipped a page once again, nearly half way though the heavy manual. He was in the grenade section. He didn't understand exactly why he would use a grenade, but anything was possible. If anything he would carry a handgun. He hadn't carried a ranged weapon since the sixteen hundreds, when he had a nice yew bow made for his particularly insane amount of strength. With the right bow, he could outfire a balista when he tried. Another flip of a page before he looked up, not seeing or hearing anyone, but smelling them before they even entered the room. That is how it was with vampires. No heartbeat, no need to breathe except to talk, they were very quiet and still beings and could sneak up on the unwary.

When she heard the clocks chime twelve times, she knew that it was impossible to stay in bed much longer. She stayed up far too late the night before attempting to perfect shock collars for the unbroken humans. By the time she crawled into her bed, the sun was peaking though the dark sky. Bad news if she had been working outside, but inside of her little work shop, she was completely safe. Isabelle sat up on her bed and yawned a few times, trying to shake the fatigue off herself. She had a good dream and tried to recall some of the details, it was something about how to make the collars work even better.
She opened her closet and pulled out a simple tool skirt and slipped it over the red and white stockings she fell asleep in. There was a book in the library that should help her with the final touches on those collars. A simple white shirt was on her side table (probably quickly discarded in a sleepy daze some other night) and was quickly slipped over her head. A quick check in the mirror and a nod of approval gave her enough confidence to leave her room and go to the library. Belle had a strange sense of style and was rather proud of it.
The door to the library was pretty heavy, especially since she was still kinda tired. From the smell of the room alone, she knew someone was in there. Someone she never met. But since she was a bit of a loner in the clan, that wasn't too surprising. She licked her lips slightly, the other person in the room was a vampire and a good looking one at that. It didn't take too long for her to find the book she was looking for, enchanting items was typical for weaponry masters. Her former master was in the process of teaching her the finer points of it, before he was murdered. In an attempt to keep herself from getting caught in memories and shook her head and brushed some of her cherry red hair behind her ear. "Do you mind if I join you?" There was an adjacent seat to the gentlemen and she wanted to spend some time in the library, her room suddenly seemed boring by comparison.

Erebos was still as the female entered the room. Still was an understatement. He could be in a statue contest and win against the statues. There was no twitch at his throat, no subtle shift of breathing, not even a bat of his eyelashes as the girl, for every female he had met so far could be considered a girl when compared to his age, entered the room. It was only when she had left the door that his eyes shifted downward, back to the book. Staring, for that was what he truly wanted to do, was uncouth. His mind was on her though as she browsed the shelves and he did not get a single sentence read in the book he held in his hands.
He had heard of this one, even if he had not met her before. Had actually seen a picture in the stacks of reports that had been put together at his request about the Nychta clan. It had not done her justice. The picture must have been taken on a very bad day indeed, or from before she was a vampire. His eyes flicked to her from time to time when she was looking for her book, and a longer look when she had been reaching for it. His eyes were back upon the same sentence by the time she had turned around, and he was somewhat surprised when she asked to join him.
After she had spoken, his coal black eyes flicked up and he took a moment to memorize every soft curve of her face. He did not do her the discourtesy of sizing up every curve of her body, even though his instincts screamed at him to etch every part of her into a permanent memory. Instead he softly closed his book and placed it on the small antique table beside him. He stood and slightly bowed, with a slight smile on his face, one that lit up the the shadows within his eyes." I would revel in my lady's company. It would be an honor." His voice was of crushed black velvet. His tone deep and respectful. and his accent somewhat thick and musical. When he was done speaking, he slowly pulled himself from his bow and waited for her to be seated before he would take his own seat.

There was something completely empowering about the male's eyes on her. Isabelle enjoyed the way she looked, the clothes she wore, the way she held herself around larger vampires. But there was something completely wonderful about this male. He was painfully older than her, Belle was only made vampire a few years before and she was still getting to know all of the elders in the clan. When he stood and told her it would be an honor, a playful smirk played on her lips. He was polite. That seemed to be a rarity within the clan. Human males were boisterous and proud on their own, vampire males were a whole new level of cocky.
She brushed her cherry red bangs out of her eyes and carefully took a seat, keeping in mind of adjusting her skirt so he didn't see too much of her. At least not yet. "So why haven't we met yet?" She liked to make it a habit of getting to know the members of the clan. Since she was the weapon smith, she liked to know who she was making swords and collars for. She believed that the humans in their possession were property and sometimes extra things were necessary for their compliance. That explained the book in her hands, she wanted to try new collars for some of the rowdier bitches.
The male was handsome and his voice gave her a shiver up her spine. He seemed about as dangerous as the Nychta leader and that was something that made her all the more intrigued by him. She leaned forward and watched him for an answer.
OOC: not my longest, or my best work, but I am terribly sorry about the delay
