Jasmine woke up in her cage and tried her best to sit up comfortably. She just had another dream about bad things happening to Dorian. She didn't know why she kept having these dreams. Maybe it was because she felt guilty about their stupid fight and she also didn't have any closure to indicate he was alive and well. She sighed as she looked at the cages on either side of her. Bianca was asleep in the cage on her right. Being a slave really messed with her sleep schedule because she was up late with the vampires fighting for her life. To be honest she was also a little afraid to go to sleep because of her dreams. She always used the daytime hours to catch up on her missed sleep when the vampires hopefully went in for the day. Since the holding cells were on the streets, they most likely didn't come around when the sun was up.
Jasmine tried to inch her way towards the left side of her cage, taking great care not to let her chains make any noise. "Psst, Angelo, are you awake?"she hissed quietly to the slave in the cage on her left. She wanted to talk to him for a bit, at least until the sun went down or as long as she could until the vampires came out. For now it seemed they were vampire free because it was daylight. She didn't know what the vampires did with the slaves when it was time for them to get off the streets but now seemed like the perfect opportunity to have a long overdue brother-sister chat with Angelo.
Jasmine then became aware of quiet sobs shaking her body and she tried to raise one of her chained hands and clasp it to her mouth to quiet them. She didn't want to wake Bianca, or Angelo, if he too was catching up on some sleep. In her dreams, Dorian was either badly injured or dying. She wished she could be with him, hoping her dreams weren't prophetic, but she assumed only Angelo would know if Dorian was in any terrible danger. "Angelo?"she called out again choking on a sob and reaching out with one of her chained hands to touch her brother. The cages were side by side so it shouldn't be difficult to nudge him a little bit except for the fact that wearing chains restricted her movement so much that it annoyed her to no end.
